"Anyone who uses a link to join a WhatsApp group is at risk of going online again," said Raajasekhara Rajaharia, an internet security researcher. Doing so also poses a risk of intrusion into the user's private chat.

After disabling the index for the WhatsApp group, these links can be found and the private group on the web can be joined. This allows searchers to find someone else's profile photo and phone number. There are 1500 group invite links in Google Search.

Can hide themselves

The group member can also hide himself so that he cannot see the stranger. The biggest drawback to this is that even if the person is removed from the group, his brief entry with his phone number remains in the list.

A similar flaw was spotted by a security researcher in 2019. Which was then reported to Facebook. This query was solved at that time. The URLs of people's profiles were being searched on Google.
