In The New Year, Even Though Jio Made Calling Free, Customers Will No Longer Get This Service
Jio has now once again announced the free non-Jio calling from Jio. However this free does not mean that you will be able to call without any plan or recharge. Now as before, local calls to any number with other plan will be free. But at the same time the company has stopped one of the services offered to its users.
- Jio made local offnet calling free
- On other networks, complimentary data was available for every Rs 10 recharge
- Complimentary data will not be available to customers from the new year
Indeed, due to the Interconnect Usage Charge IUC, Jio started charging its customer's for offline calling. However, now that TRAI has decided to shut down the IUC, jio has made calling on other networks i.e. local offnet calling free.
Vouchers were available on Reliance's top-up recharge
Reliance Jio provided users with top-up vouchers with 1GB, 2GB, 5GB, 10GB, 50GB and 100GB of data as long as there was money for offline calling. These talk time vouchers started from Rs. Customers were given additional internet data with top up vouchers of Rs 10 to Rs 1000. Which customers will no longer be able to get.
According to Reliance Jio's website, customers were given 1GB of complimentary data for Rs 10 for calling another number from Jio. But now that local offnet calling has been made free by Jio, in such a situation, even this data offer will no longer work.
No more extra data like before
Although these top-up vouchers will still be available, they will reportedly not be given as much data as before. That is, if you reply on local offnet calling for data, you now have to keep this in mind.
